A fruit farm on Lake Constance wants to apply calcium against bitter pit before harvest; after thunderstorm rain the soil is too soft for the tractor. We fly 15 litres per hectare row-accurately in the open orchard, in one morning.
In Germany plant strengthening agents, foliar fertilizers and micronutrients, for example calcium against bitter pit or boron at flowering. Crop protection from the air is restricted to steep-slope viticulture in Germany. In Switzerland we also fly crop protection in the orchard, see the Switzerland page (German).
Not under closed netting. We schedule the dates before closing in spring or after opening in autumn, or fly the parts of the orchard that are open.
The drone flies row-accurately close above the canopy; the rotor downwash pushes the droplets into the tree. Hardly anything falls between the rows, which saves product compared with the air-blast sprayer.
For large orchards or unclear symptoms. The multispectral map shows stress, deficiency and gaps per row; afterwards we treat only where necessary, and you have the record for certification.

The Lake Constance fruit-growing region is our core: Tettnang, Kressbronn, Friedrichshafen, Markdorf, Überlingen and Thurgau. From Überlingen most orchards are reachable in under an hour, so single blocks are worthwhile too. Cherries and plums on the Upper Rhine and in the Hegau we fly as well.
